What is PROMIS?

The Patient-Reported Outcomes Measurement Information System (PROMIS) system consists of a large number of item banks (sets of questions that measures one concept) that can be used to measure common patient-reported aspects of health status across adults and children with and without (chronic) conditions. The items can be administered as a fied short form or adaptively, through computerized adaptive testing (CAT).

The Dutch-Flemish PROMIS National Center aims to translate, validate, and implement PROMIS as a gold standard system of PROMs in the Netherlands and Flanders.
